Footcare

Healthy feet can reduce a person's risk of falling. Painful foot conditions can make it difficult for people to maintain balance, stability and coordination when walking or standing. Also people's feet change shape over the years. Everybody can take steps to reduce their risk of minimising or even eliminating foot pain and considering what they wear on their feet.

Footcare at Home, produced by Alzheimer's Scotland, lists helpful tips for looking after your feet at home. Including wearing appropriate footwear, checking, washing and creaming your feet daily and trying to keep toenails comfortable.

Caring for your feet at home is important but can be difficult. This leaflet provides some practical advice on foot care.
